PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS ARCADIA GARDENS

A short stroll to the lake and Wanaka’s cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries, Turret House is located beside a spring-fed stream, set within beautiful gardens in a quiet cul-de-sac.

Built over two levels, the house consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a home office. Enjoy expansive mountain views from the living areas on all levels and the upstairs bedrooms and terrace. The fireplaces and heat pumps (air conditioners) offer year round comfort.

Only a 20-30 minute drive to the base of the ski fields and moments from the lake foreshore, there is so much to see and do.

TOWELS & LINEN

All bath towels, hand towels, tea towels and bed linen, are provided during your stay. If towels are required for activities beyond the house, please remember to bring extra towels of your own.

KITCHEN ESSENTIALS

The kitchen includes pantry items such as oil, vinegar, salt & pepper, sugar, tea bags, coffee pods along with handy appliances such as a slow cooker and rice cooker.

EXTRA TOUCH

Scented with essential oils, we provide handwash, bodywash, shampoo & conditioners in each of the bathrooms, and eco-friendly cleaning products in the kitchen & laundry, for guests to use during their stay.

Wonderful Wanaka! Oh my goodness - what a little slice of paradise! Our family of 3 immensely enjoyed our stay in Wanaka and have left with some beautiful memories. Turret House was spacious, well appointed and only a short stroll to the foreshore and local cafes /restaurants. Sandy was an absolute gem to communicate with from booking, check in and departure (thank you for all your local tips and recommendations!). We sincerely appreciated the thoughtful touches … including the complimentary bottle of bubbles that we enjoyed whilst watching the sun go down over the mountains. Also, you can forget needing a white noise machine as you have a babbling stream right outside to help you fall asleep! We would recommend Turret House to anyone planning on visiting this beautiful part of the world. Thank you

Sandra’s place was excellent and so was she, my fiancé now husband and I booked turret house as we got married up at Roy’s peak whilst staying here. The house was amazing we got ready here with immediate family and also had a private chef come in and cook our wedding meal. Sandra was so accommodating with any questions I had ahead of time and even gave us some beautiful flowers and wine in celebration of our marriage she also was so accommodating with a late checkout so we didn’t have to rush. I recommend anybody stay here the house is within walking distance to great coffee shops restaurants and the famous Lake Wanaka.

It's not possible to find a better balance of private and peaceful with being walkable to downtown. We specifically booked for the location, and we're glad we did. The sound of the stream outside is such a perfect way to fall asleep, and the house itself was inviting, comfortable, and extremely well-stocked. We used the fireplace, and cozy couch with blankets, and I made use of the closed-door office space with desk and lights for Zoom calls. Sandra was so kind and responsive... we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Book here. You will be glad you did!

Sandy was an amazing host which made our stay in the fantastic house even more special. The house was perfect, spacious, central and extremely comfortable and our stay was made more special by Sandy’s advice, recommendations and even a local bottle of sparkling from one of the wineries. Can’t recommend this place enough, and if we ever return to Wanaka, we will be staying here again! The place is beautiful. Great location easy walk to the restaurants, shops and the lake. The host has thought of everything including keep cups and drink bottles. The bbq was very clean and easy to use. The guide book the host provided was full of useful information and the QR code in the book was very clever, making it easy to find things to do. We will be recommending this place to our friends. Next trip to NZ we will be going back to this lovely house in Wanaka.

…Turret House in Wanaka is just beautiful … its so plush and comfortable, as soon as you open the doors you are welcomed to a warm and cosy environment. It’s instant calm and serenity which is exactly what you need when you take a holiday … We found the kitchen to be as well stocked as our own home! Great BBQ to use too. It's so close to town, you can walk … views from the upstairs areas are breathtaking, and the rooms are super spacious and far enough apart for privacy. We loved the little touches … can’t fault this home one bit, it was perfect and we would go back in a heartbeat.

The stay was one of the highlights of our New Zealand trip. For the family it felt quickly as if we were "at home". Beautiful decorated and furnished house. Great garden seating where you can hear the stream flowing In the background. Practical : Kitchen was well stocked with all utensils and pots one could wish for. Location wise it worked well for us and it is walking distance to a good super market and downtown shops

[Turret House] was beautiful … very clean and had everything you could possibly need and would have in your own home. We felt right at home and spent Christmas Day there. It’s a simple and short walk to the lake and its location was very convent.
